(…) After one not-so-good work and one not-bad-at-all work, an absolute
gem emerged: Jesús Rubio Gamo’s Stabat Mater. This piece remains my favourite
of the eighteen I saw during Resolution! To me, that kind of stumbling-upon is
one of the joys of a season like Resolution!(…) so strong, so polished and
professional and thoughtful, that its memory gleams. (…) I have come across an
artist whose work I endeavour to follow.
